Ladan Roxy was born in Tehran, Iran. Her family moved to the United States when she was 6 years old. Though fluent only in Farsi, Ladan immediately began first grade, where she simultaneously learned to speak and read in English, and thus developed a deep rooted love for both!
After graduating from the University of California, Irvine with a B.A. in English and a B.A. in Criminology, Law & Society, Ladan decided to combine her passion for reading and speaking into a career in television and print. Her first job was as a news anchor for the international network, NITV, where she reported the world news every evening.
In the summer of 2004, Ladan was hired full-time as an entertainment correspondent for PBC Television Network. In addition to writing, producing and reporting her own entertainment program, Inside Calendar, she was also the co-host of Pulse that lead her to all the red carpet premieres where she has interviewed over 200 celebrities! While at PBC, Ladan was also an entertainment correspondent for the morning talk show TGIF, and the fashion program Zoom.
In 2008, Ladan began working at bebin.tv, a site geared towards Iranians growing up outside of Iran. The host of City Talk, Ladan delivered the latest in news, music and events every week, while also interacting with viewers through bebin’s blog. Ladan also became regular cast member on bebin’s Persian version of “The Office!”
Throughout her career as an on-air talent, Ladan has put her passion for writing to use by freelancing for various media outlets, especially the international publication Javanan, and Tapesh Entertainment Magazine, where she served as co-editor.
With an inquisitive mind and a natural comfort in front of the camera, Ladan Roxy is a face and voice you’ll be seeing a lot of!
